The TERENA Networking Conference 2002 will be held in Limerick, a historical trade, industry and harbour city in the South-West of Ireland. Monuments in the city reflect its history of more than a thousand years.
Limerick is also a good starting point for excursions to, for example, the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren and Kilkee on the Atlantic coast.
The conference venue will be the University Concert Hall located on the beautiful campus of the University of Limerick, just outside the city. Accommodation for participants will be available on campus as well as in nearby hotels.
Shannon Airport, located 22 kilometres from the city, is served by frequent direct flights from many major airports in Europe and North America.
