The weather in June is usually mild (200C) with daylight up to 21:00. However, it is Ireland - umbrellas and raincoats are always advised.

ELECTRICITY SUPPLY AND PLUGS

The electricity supply in Ireland is 220 volts, 50 cycles. Plug sockets are the same as for British 3-pin plugs. Therefore, it may be advisable to bring an adaptor for these sockets or a world adaptor. |
CURRENCY AND CREDIT CARDS
The national currency in Ireland is the euro. The campus of the university has 2 ATM machines. Major credit cards are widely accepted around the city of Limerick.
ON-CAMPUS FACILITIES
PLEASE NOTE:
Monday, 3 June is a public holiday in Ireland. There will be very limited facilities open and we recommend that you obtain currency and any other items you require before arrival or at the airport.
University Arena Sports Centre
Open Monday - Friday from 07:00 - 10:00, and on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 - 21:00.
The sports centre offers a wide range of facilities for conference delegates including a pool. There will be a small charge for some facilities.
Shops and Services
Shops on campus are located in the students' centre near the Stables.

There are cafés, pubs and restaurants on campus offering drinks, meals and snacks throughout the day and evening. Opening times during the week of the Conference will be posted at the Registration Desk.

The area code for Ireland is 353. The city code for Limerick is 61. To place a call to Limerick from another country, dial + 353 61 and the local number. To call another number within the city of Limerick, you do not need to use the city code; you can just call the number.
